I don’t know about the rest of you guys and gals, but I have been waiting for the Spring since it started turning cold back in November of last year.  I am so tired of having cabin fever, ( didn’t they make a corny scary movie about that ?) I am ready to get outside, do some yard work, plant some flowers and all that good stuff. And I am really ready to start playing softball. My kids tell me I’m getting to old to play, however, I tell them I would get older If I didn’t play. With Spring right around the corner, What are some of your favorite activities that you like to get out and do?

All the big news today is rather Tiger Woods apology to the world and to his wife was sincere or not.  However, I bring up the question;  is it really going make a difference in our lives if it was or it wasn’t. Unless you are in Tigers circle then it should have no barring on what he does or feels.  People are judging the man like he killed someone. Was it right  in what he did ? Depends on your morals I guess.  He got caught, he fessed up to it, and now he is trying to move on.  Now will he change ? Kobe Bryant changed supposedly; many men have changed, and many men have not.  So only time will tell what his true colors are.  So let Tiger and his family work something out, his  family doesn’t need all of our help.

I was reading yesterday that student loans are right up there with credit cards as far as getting in trouble with your finances.  I for one am a student, and I am thinking about stopping after I get my first degree.  I know that people say that you get more money with the higher the degree. However the way it seems , is that all the money you will be making will be going to that student loan.  The thing that makes these bills different from credit card bills is that you can’t file bankruptcy and make it go away. These things are stuck to you like leaches.  I know one thing, I don’t ever want to be late for a payment.

Its Valentines day again, its that time where you are suppose to  buy the one you love something to show that you love and appreciate them.  However, my question is….. why does that have to be just one day a year?  I’m not saying people should spend money everyday on people that they love to try to show them that. However I do think you should in some way let the person you love know, that you  do appreciate them, and that you do love them.  Life is too short to narrow this type of thing down to one day a year.  I say do it everyday, in some way. Remind them why they love you.

ok old man winter, you can leave anytime now and take the white stuff with you.  Here in the South we have maybe one or two good dusting’s of snow or ice mix. However, this the fourth time in the last month we have had snow. The crazy thing is that its snowing  up to a foot in Dallas,  Texas.Iit stretches from there, to the coast of South and North Carolina dipping down into southern Georgia and even Northern Florida. I don’t think I have ever wanted spring time to come around so bad in my entire life, how about you.

For those of us in the U.S. , a huge number of people do there taxes early. Mainly because those that do their taxes early are getting money back from the government. However, those that wait until the deadline are the ones who are not getting anything back or end up having to give money to the government.  Whichever the case is, do you trust your self enough to do your taxes or do you want a professional to do them.  A huge number of companies have come up with ways to do your taxes online, and will show you step by step how to do so. However, my question is, do you really trust  something, especially first timers, that you could end up getting in trouble with the government if not done correctly.  My opinion, I leave it to the pros to do my taxes. Yea, I may pay to get it done, however I’ll know it will be done right.

Ok, the game was good and congratulations to the Saints for winning the game. However, we have to talk about some of those commercials during the game, and at halftime of the game.  I think Doritos came through with some of the best and funniest commercials of the whole night. The little boy telling his moms date about “his rules” for dating his mom. The Doritos freak at the gym, and then the one I laughed at the most. The dog put the barking shock collar on the man, so he could take his chips. Tell us which ones you liked the best.

Some think it’s the biggest game of the year, and I guess to the men in both organizations and the fans of the organizations, it is.  However, most of the time the commercials are better then the game itself. I have watched every single Super Bowl game since 1978, I was just old enough to understand the game back then. However, the game has only a hand full of times lived up to its build up. This doesn’t stop it from making it one of the most watched programs around the world each year.  What do you think the reason is for people watching this event year in and year out?

This is something that takes patients and a solid wall so you can slam your head against it after the day is done ; ) Many people say that the kids are missing out on so much by keeping the kids out of public schools. I say missing out on what? Missing out on getting bullied, missing out on  getting the crap kicked out of them, missing out on getting the attention they need to get a good education.  I say my kids are not missing any of that. Matter of fact, my kids grades are better now, their behavior is better now, and more importantly, I can spend the time with them that they need.

So, tell me what yall think.

We just got blasted a few days ago here in North Carolina, and when I say blasted, I mean 3 to 4 inches with Ice on top of that. Remember folks were from the south, so any word of snow, and we raid the grocery store like a nuclear storm is coming.  So as I am watching the snow melt away threw my front window, I hear on the news we have more snow, and ice coming. I know it ain’t but the first of February, however, I am sick of old man winter, Hurry up spring, lets get a move on
